July 1st, 2007 you passed away
this is now a sad day
I will miss you
the pain of this is very true
as hard as I would try
the tears I will cry
even my avatar is sad
and is feeling bad
At least I had an opportunity
to send you some of my poetry

for now, I am feeling numb.

Road Construction Poem:

Road construction season is already here
this inconvenience occur each year
how would a person know
often road closed signs will show
so if you are in doubt
just use another route
traffic often travels quite slow
as the tie ups will grow
another way traffic would be at a single lane
for reasons like fixing watermains
Road construction is everywhere
so please whatever you do drive with care
whether its in the city
or out in the country
Very often a crew works together
in all kinds of weather
however, if it should rain
they have to wait to start again
Length of time can take days
weeks, months which can also cause delays.

Swimming & Pools Poem:

Swimming pools come in different sizes
just the same don't be a fool
children should always be supervised
and obey the rules.

Adults should set an example
regardless if the pool is in the yard or elsewhere
Swimming should be fun and simple
Swimming lessons for safety skills can be learned somewhere.

Swimming is the moving through the water
using your legs and arms
outdoors if the weather is hotter
stay and practice safety away from harm.

Each year drownings will occur
because people don't pay attention
to rules, regardless if the person is rich or poor
this is worth a mention.

Canadian History: Poem

In 1867 Canada became a country
this year it will be 140 years old
here too, this has much more history

With colors of red and white
this is the color of the Canadian flag
what a beautiful sight.

The birthday of Canada was a year long event
I was a little girl then
learning about Canada was worth while spent.

In 1967 was Canada's centennial
Canada making it this far, in Confederation
Canada Day is celebrated annually

Canada Day is on July 1st
and it is a day of celebrations in the park
then at night, there are fireworks colors that burst.

Had what seems like a long day ( June 2nd, 2007

This morning I went to one library to go on the computer, then when my time was up at one place my jouney took to another one. What was ironic or not I wasn't sure if I booked so I checked the computer booking system. Apparently I was booked so my lunch was quick. The weather was quite hot today the temperature was 28 degrees c or 82.4 f. It felt like 31c or 87.8 f. My ice water didn't last long in the heat. The next journey took me to the bowling alley. The games not too bad but the second one was the best. As I was getting my shoes I said to the person behind the counter don't screw around with games this time. After the games I went to visit the captain of the team at his place and we saw the Walt Disney movie Gus. This is about a mule who acts as a mascot. Then we saw a movie summer rental. I just got home about half to 3/4s of an hour ago.

Now maybe the weather will be nice:

The weather was quite warm today,
this is awesome
the temperature was 25 degrees c or 77 degrees f
I don't mind the weather nice and warm.
a radio announcer said and I agree with him
or her they don't mind rain provided the weather
is warm. My parents say we can never get too much rain
I can remember several years ago
the weather would be hot during the day
but it would rain to cool things down
I am okay with that. But now our weather is unpredictable.

Pleasure And Pain:

Meeting and knowing gave me much pleasure
for many many years
Memories of you I will treasure
as I cry many tears
from the heartache and sadness is the pain
over again and again.

March 17th, is Saint Patrick's Day
but on this day, you passed away
this occured 5 years ago
how was I to know.
this sad event broke my heart
and tore my world apart
and I still feel the pain
as a result I will never see you again
This date each year I will not forget
if you were still here this is what you would get
indeed from my heart a letter
no let's make it sweeter and better
along with a letter also a poem
so you can enjoy all of them

Playgrounds:

As I sit here at the playground
with no one to be around
oh I could be wrong
I wasn't here for long
As I write this poem
I would be watching them
a dog and 2 boys
My staying there was my choice
I came here by bike
or one can walk if they like
Playgrounds are places children often would play
how long? It could be all day
such activities could be the swings
and other things
Going down the slide
or they may run and hide
on the bars, they would climb up and down
playgrounds are in cities and also the towns.
Some playgrounds have a paddling pools
so be careful and don't be a fool

memorial day

Today is memorial day down in the states, it has the same purpose as up here
remembering people who fought for our country, with thousands who died while doing so. Our remembering occurs on Remembrance Day November 11th and when the air show comes here. Well just the same there was a Saskatchewan pilot who died two weeks ago. He will be among the people who died. Last year it was 2 RCMP officers who died. This was remembered during memorial day, Canada air show, and Remembrance day last year.

This is crazy ( blogger read this:)

I am still trying to set the time on here and afew of my blogs so what time I did it not the date. I thought it is suppose to show the date month after each blog. Instead it shows the time. If this is a change could you have please inform you customers. Also it shows the month and date until the last 3. I am trying to learn this. I have been here now and then so its not like I don't know how to blog.

Nice weather earlier // feels like rain

This morning the weather was nice, sunny and warm, I went for a walk like to the grocery shop to buy some food to tie me for a few days. When I got home
I did some watering of the garden, plants, sat outside for abit. Then back
inside to clean there is just the vacuuming. When I looked outside it looked
like it would rain so I went for my walk perhaps it should have been
a bike ride. It would have been quicker.

Saskatoon's birthday

It was one year ago yesterday
you had your 100th birthday
1906 you were incorporated as a city
and over the years there was history
I may not have been around then
but so much has happened
Also I never paid too much attention
so this is worth alot of mention
I am not just a Saskatonian
but a Saskatchewan and a Canadian.

Writing Poetry:

For someone who never took poetry
in school several years ago
I feel I am making history
at least this is what I know
Looking back on this
I am certainly making up for
what I certainly miss
I have times I write more
My ability to write poems
came to me, because of some people
there are a number of them
who were thoughtful
writing poetry can be on anything
for different reasons
like about spring
this is just one season.

Lunch in the park: ( about time )

I had lunch in the park today
also I did so yesterday
the sun was out also
and this indeed showed
there were clouds in the sky
creatures like the birds would fly
kids in the park would play
clouds were either white or gray
there was a breeze
the temperature at the time was 13 degrees
I can't really complain
except when it rains
because I would have plans
but controlling the weather is out of my hands.

Still trying to retrieve:

Afew days ago I picked up a book about blogging and get this its posting a blog here. At the same time I am trying to retrieve a blog or some I lost here when I mistakenly tried to delete one blog and the whole bunch went away. But last summer I lost lord knows how many poems I had on a disk, unless I try to see what I lost I can't get them back. One of them was about a death of your pet. I wrote that one out after a friend of mine in radio her dog died. This is what happens when I didn't get them published. As well as an overheated car and it was parked in the shade. I will have to try to write that one out again. I may be girl of poems but it will also be blogs too. Getting back to the book I will have to see what I would like done on my account here.

What??? Another abandoned baby ( no poem )

On Monday May 21st 2007 a woman or lady gave birth to an infant in a public washroom in a Walmart at Prince Albert then abandoned it. It is articles like this that make me sick. The baby is a healthy 7 pounds. This is the second case of infant being abandoned within 4 months. It was the manager who found the newborn in the toilet and they don't have any idea how long the baby was in the water like that. Baby John Doe was taken to hospital for check over in the Prince Albert then transferred to Saskatoon in Serious but stable conditon. The mother is still missing. The Walmart and the police are pleading for the mother to come forward.

Lousy Long weekend weather poem:

As I look outside
from the inside
Oh no, oh well, we're getting rain,
its happening again
I am staying indoors where it's warm
in the event of a storm.
this of course means things getting wet
coat and umbrella one shouldn't forget
For now my plans for the weekend
came to an end.
although I do have to admit
when I think of it
the grass and trees
are blowing in the strong breeze
I can't see out the window
with the rain on it it will show
for now, there is no sun
and it is done
The wind is quite strong
severe damage is wrong.
Trees and grass are green
severe storms are often mean.

My walk

Earlier I went for a walk
listening to the radio the announcer would talk
already did 3 blocks and took my first set of notes at the cemetery
I was halfway with another 3
Sunday & holidays the traffic is low
this is for sure that I would know
There this didn't take me long
between biking and walking alternatingly is nothing wrong
Oh no not again
I thought there would be some more rain
As I look around
I see a playground
children would play
it could be all day.

Money: ( Poem on display 100 poems 100 days )

What happened to you money,
it was for you to spend
on groceries and honey.
It is not good for you to lend
and its not for your waste
for any reason
Your money is for bills,
regardless if it goes to your bank
or if it gets mailed,
if there is no amount on the cheque its blank
cheat the government will get nailed
A tenant will have to pay rent
but if a person smokes they will have to get
cigarettes.
getting liquor like wine or beer
to spread the holiday cheer
but be careful with the spending or you will regret
if that should happen you will wonder where you money went

It could have been worse:

Last night the weather here was rain
but it could have been worse
as I will explain
I'm wondering if this was the curse
Some places got snow
in the month of May
just the same I would indeed know
I have abit more to say
Two weeks the streets were flooded
as rain came down, no place to go
dry dirt became mud
and it would show.
The rain not letting me ride my bike
I was getting wet
this is something I didn't like
my coat was on, or I would regret.

100 days// 100 poems part 2

On May 3rd, 2006 there was a finale- ceremony where people gathered in the library auditorium to get their certificates and their poems. I along with 99 people who write poetry, got together mingled with each other. Some people I knew like someone from a writer's group. Actually there was 1 from that group and another friend. In the room there was food drinks, and everyone's else poem was on display for all to see. This was a proud moment for me. I should get a frame for both so I can proudly display.

100 days// 100 poems part 1 the poem

Last year the library had 100 days of 100 poems
this went for 3 months
Each day I would enjoy reading them.
It was a pity this couldn't continue for the rest of the year

Last year there were 2 anniversaries.
On February 21st 2006 seeing my poem on display
I had nothing to be ashamed of
I am also going to say
Also seeing my poem on display was a pleasure
as well as all the other libraries
will bring me years for me to treasure.
Why wasn't this done on Saskatchewan's birthday
which was the year before
to me this would have been another reason for display

Here we go again:

Well here I go again
and what a real pain
I guess I should be thankful
I will have to be careful
but I have deleted blogs before
but also I didn't know what was in store.
Thank goodness there were eight
but spending time in dashboard I hated,
I did two or three poems
and love all of them
the girl of poems better prove this
and be careful not to miss
